PRINCIPLED   •   PRACTICAL   •   PROFESSIONAL  ℠

The goals of Miriam Landman's work—as a writer, editor, advisor, and speaker—are to communicate, educate, motivate, and facilitate positive actions for sustainability. She is passionate about building people's awareness of effective solutions to environmental problems and providing people with the concrete information and tools that they need to put green principles into practice.

Approach
Miriam Landman approaches work and life as a focused generalist and a practical philosopher. With a broad range of interests, skills, and knowledge gained from a diverse set of educational and professional experiences, she views issues through an interdisciplinary lens with a big-picture perspective. This enables her to integrate ideas and see the connections between environmental, social, and economic issues. She is solutions oriented, and she is a realist and pragmatist. She understands how to prioritize and focus in order to implement goals, turning vision into action.

Miriam is also a collector of information; she loves to learn and to share knowledge. She refers to herself as an “information hog.” She has a librarian-like penchant for researching, compiling, categorizing, and organizing information and resources. As a writer, she also enjoys analyzing and summarizing information, distilling it down to its essence and conveying it in a clear and concise way. She likes to translate complex concepts and technical information into easily understandable language.

Values
Miriam became interested in environmental and social issues as a child. She is strongly committed to promoting sustainability, and she continually strives to incorporate its principles into her life.

Miriam holds herself to a high standard of integrity, ethics, and professionalism. She is principled and conscientious and she aims to be fair, considerate, and open-minded in all of her interactions.
